I don’t know how …
I don’t know how the chat got so off topic, the video is about children between the ages of 3-8 saying that they don’t want health care.Well No ShiT!?I don’t think I enjoyed going to the doctor once when I was younger but then I didn’t know what universal health care meant ether the simple fact is that public/universal health care should be provided to children period! especially for those with serious illnesses being raised in low-income families that usually cannot afford the proper treatment

You’ve detailed …
You’ve detailed some of the legal mechanics of a corporation, but you’ve left out the real world. I hope you look further than you have. Anyway, good luck.

I just wanted to …
I just wanted to say I have seen parts of “The Corporation.” It’s kind of redundant, but an interesting feat in psychology nonetheless. I wasn’t too impressed with the guest interviewees they brought on (Howard Zinn, bleh, think of someone original). As for corporations themselves, they so far given me no reason not to trust them as a whole. Individuals within them have committed actions that make me mistrust them, but not the company and everyone else who is a part of it.
BrethrenOfUlster said:
To wrap up, while I …
To wrap up, while I don’t trust individuals within the corporation (such as a single CEO), I can’t take their bad actions and blame the numerous workers, shareholders, and individuals who make up the corporation as well. Corporations are ultimately collections of individual people, each doing his or her part to make a product of value for society at large. They’re not out to destroy “the people.” That would destroy their components, and, hence, them!
BrethrenOfUlster said:
A lot of the …
A lot of the problems we see with corporations spawn from the “Principal-Agent” Problem. Principal is a synonym for shareholder, and the agents are the CEOs, etc. CEOs and managers are supposed to run the corporation for what’s in the shareholder’s best interests. If they don’t, then the Principal-Agent Problem arises. Infamous examples of that include Enron and WorldComm.
BrethrenOfUlster said:
CEOs and managers, …
CEOs and managers, on the other hand, don’t “own” the corporation, but run it in the place of the shareholders, who are represented by the board of directors. Things can be different for privately-owned corporations where a controlling interest may be held, but in publically-owned corporations like Pfizer, CEOs and managers don’t “own” it, they just run it, since all the masses of shareholders can’t efficiently run the company as a single group.
BrethrenOfUlster said:
Well, corporations …
Well, corporations issue stocks, which are bits of the company that anybody, from me to you to a 6-figure income investor to a housewife in Dayton, Ohio, can buy. So, in essence, the corporation is owned by “the people,” since shareholders are people. People own corporations.
TheGiantRobot said:
First off, Bro, …
First off, Bro, corporations are not run by the majority of people, they are run by a few very wealthy people. Secondly, if you think mankind is a kindly lot, take a second look around you. War, murder, rape, corruption, pollution, poverty amidst fantastic wealth - we are the ones doing that to each other.
I’m very sorry to hear you trust those corporations, because you are in for a rude awakening. I encourage you to check out a few of my favorites. I highly recommend watching The Corporation.
BrethrenOfUlster said:
I happen to trust …
I happen to trust those corporations thank you very much. I had all the necessary vaccines and am fine.
And why does it seem everyone has a grudge against corporations? They’re made of people, by people, and for people. Therefore, if corporations are truly “psychotic,” as one guy said, then so is the vast majority of humanity.

I hate you! Haha. But, this is also sad, because kids are right - health care should not be that painful and invasive. Adults have been brainwashed to think like this.
And for all those who think vaccines are perfectly safe, don’t just read the corporate handouts, take a few minutes and watch some youtube videos on the various vaccines.
