Take cancer for example; there are thousands of people who suffer from this dreadful disease and yet their way of a healthy lifestyle has backfired on them. We did have a debt but nothing like what we have because of the war. And we pay more per person for health care than if we paid it through taxes. So actually we would be saving money not spending it. And I do agree with you on the part where we need to take better care of ourselves, thats very true. Whenever I get hungry for a snack I go for an apple or two instead of chips. BTW that grandkids line you said at the top. That sounds a lot like how Bush describe it in a speech he gave on the war.

If people are so concerned with thier health, do a better job of taking care of it….of course that is a simple solution.

If you get sick would you rather have a system that can deny you or you would rather have a system that has to accept you? I dont know about you but I like the latter much more.

We you get a job in some of these countries you pay tax. This money goes to the government. The Government then puts the money back into hospital without a “middleman”.
Why are these countries healthcare superior to the US? Because they place their people first before money.
